Hey Duff and Oscar, good to hear from you. I do plan to spend 3 or so days in some places. If you have any ideas where let me know. Also, we have July 4th to think about as well. Most parks require a three day stay on a holiday weekend and some parks require 2 day stays on any weekend.
I stayed at Manawa park in Iowa on the way to Wisconsin. It was pretty grim so I will remove it from the list. I plan to go back to Colorado via Missouri and check out the parks there. Keep the input coming. Thanks for your interest.
LEWIS & CLARK ROLLING RALLY SCHEDULE
Here they are: the best campsites I could find. Hope the dates are good for all interested in the rally. Prices listed here are regular prices, some do accept proof of age for additional discounts. All parks have flush toilets, dump stations and showers unless otherwise noted. Most phone #s are included for reservations. We will stay at Babler State Park Friday, Saturday and leave Sunday, June 26th on the rolling rally. That will give us Saturday to see St Louis and the Lewis and Clark Interpretative Center.
The entire trip as detailed below will take 38 days not including your trip home. Many state parks require 2-day reservations on weekends so we will be staying 2 days at some parks and one at others. As said before, all are invited to start at any point along the journey or come along for the entire ride and getting home is up to the individual. The mileage stated for each site is the distance to the next campsite. These distances are approximate but as close as I could figure. When possible, I have chosen campsites on the river so those of us who wish can try out our nautical skills. Starred campsites indicates reservations suggested.
